We all know it. We’ve all felt it.
What you might not know is that at the microscopic level in our bodies, our cells can also experience stress.
New evidence shows that stress to our cells is linked to cancer spreading in the body. In other words, increased stress can make the cancer spread. This is a big problem because cancer spread (or metastasis) is the main cause of all cancer-related deaths. Our research focuses on the mechanisms of this problem as understanding it has potential to improve the outcome for many cancer patients.
